Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) - General waste comprises of 70% of municipal household waste. This category of municipal waste is carted away by garbage trucks. Approximately ten percent of recyclables contained is being collected by recycling organizations (Paper product, Plastic, Metals). In an average, each household produces at least one bag of mixed garbage containing kitchen discharge daily. Common kitchen discharge contains organic matter of high water content. Through the process of discharging, collecting and especially going through pressurizing (in modern Garbage Compressor Station and Compressor in Garbage Truck), water substance and oil substance are dispersed. This dispersing process causes wet & oily matters being mixed with other dry materials & components. When this process transpires, waste becomes a body of "Complex Mixture of Materials". Because of this process of waste transformation, it is almost impossible to clearly classify or recycle these mixed matters. Presently, the only solution for all municipalities in the disposing & treatment of MSW are through "Big" landfills and/or incinerations.
To separate wet garbage from dry, we have discovered there is only one possible solution: "Water" as a medium in the separation process and return these wet & dry matters back to their original form. WST System & Technology focuses on this "Mixture of Dry and Wet Garbage" in its research & development. Our purpose is to separate dry materials from wet materials.

With WST fully automatic separation of Dry from Wet materials, many present methods & process of Resources Recycling that are not applicable can be incorporated immediately. This process has created a whole new dimension in municipal waste treatment in all aspects of waste reduction.
Characteristics of WST Waste Sorting & Resources Recovery Systems
- Flexible in planning
WST system requires small land area. With an enclosed design, the operation is dust free and odorless. It’s flexible in city planning and location selection.
- Strong practicality
WST system is a small-sized facility with low investment cost, low energy consumption and quick processing time. It operates in assembly line model and capable to process large amount of waste.
- Highly applicable
WST uses "Water" as a medium for sorting all different types of materials and it is capable of separating the complex mixture of dry and wet wastes into its own categories automatically which are not capable to do by any other existing sorting systems.
- Quick Processing
Sorted and dried materials will be instantly separated, compressed, packaged and dispatched to respective plants such as RDF production plant, fertilizer manufacturing plant, other recycling plants or incineration facilities.
- Reduction of harmful substances
With high precision in separation and cleanliness, it minimizes harmful substances contains in the sorted waste and such toxic substances would be totally removed by the wastewater treatment facility. There is no cutting or compressing of materials in the sorting process. This is to prevent the release of poisonous substances and maintain a good condition of all recyclables.
- Fully automatic
Water Sorting Technology uses programmable logic controller to drive the electro-mechanical designed system that creates a fully automatic operation and reduces the labour cost.
- Well-equipped wastewater treatment system
There is no discharge of wastewater. Water used in the system is treated by internal wastewater treatment system and the water recycling rate is 100%. Sludge and scum produced from wastewater treatment system will be used as raw material for fertilizer production or methane electricity generation.
- Precise sorting enhances resources recycling
WST system achieves a high precision sorting of above 90% in accuracy. It is able to sort all materials according to their individual category and over 80% of recyclables can be recaptured and recovered.
- Quantity of residual waste is reduced drastically
After separation, the residual waste needs to be buried would be greatly reduced. It extends the lifespan of landfills.
- Minimal impact on environment
The operation is dust free, odorless with minimal noise and no secondary pollution. It is an environmental friendly system with minimal impact to our natural ecological system.
