The MOU Signing Ceremony between ITAD Biotechnology Limited and Shuyang Peopleˇ¦s Government was held on 18 February 2006. The RBM 150 million project involves the construction and operation of the first municipal solid waste treatment plant in Shuyang. The senior leaders of Shuyang and Dr. Shawn Wang of ITAD attended the ceremony.
The project in Shuyang will make use of multiple patented technologies including WST waste separation technology which uses water as the medium; ITAD - liquefaction thermophilic aerobic digestion and others, to separate the mixed waste into different material categories. Then organic fertilizers, refuse-derived fuel, recycled plastic pellets, building bricks, etc., all high valued added products, will be produced. According to ITAD, the company plans to build an Demonstration Park for organic agriculture in Shuyang, making use of the organic fertilizers produced by the treatment plant. The Park will serve the purposes of education, research and development in organic agriculture.
In his speech, the Mayor of Shuyang, Mr. Jiang Jianming, welcomed ITAD Biotechnology Limited to invest in Shuyang and said the technology platform not only solved the problem of waste disposal but also complemented the infrastructure of the city. In order to run the project smoothly, a special task force would be established to support and ensure smooth project implementation. The Mayor also expected that ITAD could establish an innovative and top class business management model in Shuyang. He hoped that the Plant would be build with top quality and be put into operation to serve the people of Shuyang soon.
